The First session of all of these programmes will predominantly be taken up with assessment and discussing your treatment plan with you. This is to ensure your programme is completely holistic and person-centred.

 

Anxiety Management Programme

Our anxiety management programmes are tailor-made to suit your difficulties and use a mixture of traditional  CBT, mindfulness and talking therapy to help you understand your condition, look at the cognitive and physiological effects and develop a comprehensive programme of positive coping strategies. You will be seen one-to-one or with one other carer, no large overwhelming groups here, and you will be given the time and support you require. The programmes will have activities set for you to practice at home. I'm here to help you help yourself and it is through fully engaging you will get the most from your programme. I understand that everyone has individual coping methods and my ethos is nobody ever fails.

Coping with Chronic Pain
Having lived experience of chronic pain I can offer unique understanding of the physiological and psychological impact of living with constant pain.  Your programme will include talking therapy giving you a safe space to offload your feelings to someone who can completely understand. It will also look at relaxation techniques, challenging negative thinking, goal setting and managing exercise all tailored to your hopes and aspirations.

Confidence Building

Do you find it difficult to talk to others? Worried because you have a social event to attend or a presentation to give? Would you generally like to be more assertive? My confidence building course looks at your particular problem and then together we look at therapeutic activities to help. For example your programme may include changing your body language, vocal tone and challenging your beliefs about yourself. Confidence is a skill that can be learnt with practice and here is the opportunity to do it. It is never to late to change.

Depression Management

Using talking therapy with CBT and mindfulness activities I will support you to clear the fog that is depression. The programme will be set at your pace and will help you address your difficulties in a friendly warm and non judgemental environment. Amongst many other skills you can increase your knowledge of problem-solving ,relaxation, sleep hygiene and challenging negative patterns of thought but most importantly talking openly about your feelings in a confidential setting is emotionally freeing and potentially life changing.

Anger Management

Like anxiety, anger is a natural response. Everybody experiences anger at some point. It is an emotion that makes us human. In fact not all anger is bad. It can be a defense mechanism, a way of noticing that things are hurting us and a way to motivate us. However, it is a problem when it exceeds these norms and becomes destructive, harming ourselves or harming the people around us. Our programmes offer a non-judgemental, safe space to teach you practical coping strategies to help you manage your anger long term.

Mindfulness with Exercise

Mindfulness Meditation is the foundation for mental and physiological well-being and overall happiness. Regular exercise is important for a long and healthy lifestyle. Whilst many people do not automatically recognise how  these two activities can benefit each other, the integration of mindfulness into your exercise programme can help you relax and be more at one with your body. It can teach you to notice your environment, use correct posture, give you clear intentions and help you stay on target. Mindfulness techniques can be used by anyone at any level of fitness. We utilise a Swiss ball, yoga mat, step and an exercise bike for a light but highly focused cardiovascular workout. This course is invaluable for those who struggle with motivation, weight management and exercise, those who over exercise as a negative coping strategy or simply if you want to get the most out of the exercise you already do. We will put the tools in place to create a healthier more enjoyable fitness and diet plan tailored to your needs.

Fertility Meditation

According to NHS statistics approximately one in six couples in the UK may experience difficulties when trying to conceive.Infertility can be a source of heartache and distress for both men and women so it is essential to have a safe haven to express your feelings. Whilst there is often no single definitive cause some common issues affecting both sexes are long term medical conditions, weight, age and stress. Our programmes use a blend of talking therapy and relaxation techniques specific to fertility, including breathing techniques to maintain a healthy reproductive system.As with all our programmes the treatment plan is tailored to enabling you to become the best you can be in order to achieve your goals.
